and we are

At the moment, Cat Owners Education NZ (COEdNZ) is a web address and a whole lot of work and ideas from three people.

We have a pilot project scheduled for this coming summer (2022/2023) at Omaha, North of Auckland.

When we have proven our approach works, we will continue with developing the other cats, and start talking to conservation groups in earnest.

If all goes according to our cunning plan, we will secure some corporate sponsorship to help us spread the word and assist conservation groups.

When the time is right, we will form an incorporated society that is not-for-profit and has charitable status.

After that, world domination of the education of cat owners.

Ngaire -
big ideas, some skills

I have all sorts of qualifications and experience – mostly I like solving problems.   The cat ‘problem’ has bounced around with not much actually happening.  I had this idea about creating resources that appeal to everyone, especially our next generation eco-warriors.

Jeff -
more ideas, lots of skills

Jeff co-owns a very successful graphic design and brand development company, Fuse Creative.  Unfortunately for him, he is a good friend of Ngaire’s.  Luckily for her, he agreed to help.

Jenny -
lots of skills and other ideas

Jenny illustrates children’s books, including one called “Takahe Trouble”, about 2 takahe that escaped from Tawharanui Open Sanctuary, where Ngaire is a volunteer.  Ngaire’s sister sent her a copy of the book and one of the original illustrations.  See where this went?
